Tesla Model 3 latest update: Part 3 of electronic car's reveal scheduled in spring 2017
Good things come to those who wait, and the hundreds of thousands of people who have paid good money to reserve the upcoming Tesla Model 3 have been waiting for a while, yet they still have plenty of waiting to go.
The Model 3 is perhaps the most anticipated electronic vehicle that Tesla has unveiled so far, according to Inquisitr. The forthcoming Tesla model currently has more than 400,000 pre-orders, even if the earliest delivery date is scheduled for late 2017. However, with Tesla's notorious record of making late deliveries, some of the people already expect the Model 3 to be shipped as late as 2018 or even 2019.
Although the likely delays of the Tesla Mode 3's release date can be quite frustrating, Tesla has made a recent announcement that should help extend its clientele's patience further and soothe the people's anxiety.
As reported by Auto Express, Tesla chief executive Elon Musk has dropped an exciting teaser about the many things electronic car users can expect from the Model 3 by announcing a loose target date for "Part Three" of the car's reveal.
Tesla is known to reveal its cars in stages, a move that is in contrast to presenting new models all in one go at motor shows. It can be recalled that the company held "Part One" of the car's reveal earlier this year, during which, important details such as the design, the minimum range, and the expected starting price were made known.
"Part Two" took place in October, when Tesla revealed that all of its vehicles, including the Model 3, will be equipped with the necessary hardware that will allow fully autonomous driving.
According to Musk, "Part Three" of the Model 3's reveal could happen in early spring 2017, around three to four months into the future. During this last reveal, the unveiling of the final version of the Model 3 will be anticipated. "Part 3" may also discuss information on the car's battery pack options and could also allow a closer glimpse at the upcoming model's interior design.
