'The 100' season 4 spoilers, cast news: New grounders joining upcoming season; Another character to be killed off?
Viewers said goodbye to numerous characters, including Lexa and Lincoln, in the third season of "The 100." Now, as spoilers for the upcoming season pour in, it looks like new faces are about to grace the show while the possibility of another character being killed seems likely.
According to TV Line, two new Grounders are expected to join Octavia, Clarke, and the gang when the show returns for its fourth installment. One of the characters will be Hugo, a "physically intimidating twentysomething" with a wealth of leadership skills that could come in handy in the upcoming season. The second Grounder is Kenza, the younger and more "devout" of the two "who put down her sword some time ago in favor of a religious life."
The publication further said that Hugo hates that ALIE (Erica Cerra) has made a monster out of him while he was under the evil Artificial Intelligence's control. The fourth installment will see him moving on from whatever harrowing experience he's been through. It would also be interesting to see how these two additional characters would change the landscape of the show.
It's likely that Hugo and Kenza haven't been cast yet, as the publication didn't give out any names. Still, these two characters are expected to fill the void that Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) left with her passing in season 3.
Hugo and Kenza will also help in filling the void left by characters who passed away in the previous season such as Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey), who fans still hope to see in the series.
Melty reported that "The 100" season 4 would see Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and the rest finding out whether ALIE was telling the truth regarding the kill switch or not. It would be recalled that ALIE said activating it would gradually make the planet uninhabitable (by ALIE's estimation, six months), and the clock started ticking after Clarke activated it to end the AI ultimately.
There were earlier reports, too, which pointed to Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) taking a dark turn as anger over Lincoln's (Ricky Whittle) death consumes her. Apparently, the subject of her wrath would be Pike (Michael Beach), although some fans are speculating that Bellamy (Bob Morley) would be her next target.
"The 100" season 4 premieres in early 2017 on The CW. In the meantime, fans would be happy to know that "The 100" will have a special video presentation and question and answer panel at the San Diego Comic Con on Friday, July 22.
