'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 spoilers, news: Amy and Sheldon move in together? Details of Penny and Leonard's wedding revealed

Will Sheldon find himself without a roommate in "The Big Bang Theory" season 10? | CBS

The latest spoilers reveal that "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will open with the wedding of Penny and Leonard.

It looks like everything will fall into place on the day of Penny's (Kaley Cuoco) wedding to Leonard (Johnny Galecki). Notwithstanding the fact that Leonard's dad and Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) mom might have hooked up, it seems everything will go according to plan.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the series' executive producer, Steve Molaro, revealed that the two will have an intimate wedding.

"It's small with family and friends. It's outdoors at an arboterum in Pasadena that's quite pretty and outdoors on our stage. It's nice, and despite all the weirdness going on around it, you still have Leonard and Penny, who still love each other, and those pockets of love find a way of bubbling through the tension," he said.

Fans who have been waiting since the entire season 9 to see Penny finally walk down the aisle will not be disappointed with the wedding, Molaro assures.

The showrunner likewise said that there might not be a big twist as far as living arrangements go. Some fans are speculating that Sheldon will find himself without a roommate after Leonard and Penny's wedding even though Molaro hasn't confirmed or denied the angle.

TV Line speculates that Amy (Mayim Bialik) could be moving in with Sheldon once Leonard and Penny move in together. Amy is the most likely candidate as Sheldon's roommate since Howard (Simon Helberg) is already married to Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and they're expecting their first child soon. Raj (Kunal Nayyar), on the other hand, will rather be alone as he goes through a rough patch in his dating life.

If Amy moves in with Sheldon, will "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 feature a second wedding? To this question, Molaro answered and emphatic, "I don't know!"

In related news, there is still no official confirmation if the sitcom will go beyond season 10. In fact, speculations are rife that the upcoming installment will be the series' last. Some of the members' contracts are currently up for renewal, but according to Molaro, it remains to be seen if they will sign on for season 11. Apparently, if the main cast members will not sign for an 11th season, Molaro will not consider continuing the show, as "it would certainly be different and weird."

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will premiere on CBS on Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
