'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 spoilers, updates: Executive producer drops teasers for upcoming season
"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 is expected to feature new family worries, baby blues and a development in Sheldon and Amy's relationship.
At the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con, "The Big Bang Theory" executive producer Steven Molaro dropped teasers for the upcoming season. The first thing he confirmed is Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) pregnancy in the 10th installment, saying it has been on the drawing board all along.
Rauch herself confirmed it during the show's panel at Comic-Con. The actress said she was excited the get the "belly on," and sharing the baby to the fans of the sitcom once it comes out. Nevertheless, they did not disclose if the baby would come out this season or if only Bernadette's pregnancy would be highlighted.
Molaro likewise hinted at the big changes expected to happen in the lives of the sitcom's lead characters. Penny's (Kaley Cuoco) mother (Katey Sagal) and brother (Jack McBrayer) would figure in the first few episodes of season 10, as they arrive for her wedding to Leonard (Johnny Galecki), so fans could expect to get a sneak peek into Penny's life, according to The Bitbag.
However, as Penny's relationship improves, her professional life could be in turmoil with her realizing she's not happy as a medical representative despite making a lot of money. Would she consider giving acting another chance? It remains to be seen, but according to International Business Times, Molaro has hinted that Penny would have a better career in the upcoming season.
The showrunner likewise teased that Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) could revisit the intimacy in their relationship in season 10. Apparently, the goal is for Sheldon to realize that doing the hanky-panky is fun and a couple could do the deed every now and then and not just once a year. It would be recalled that the two first got intimate on Amy's birthday.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will premiere on Sept. 19 on CBS. In the meantime, keep coming back for more updates on the series.
