Her schemes and strong determination to get what she wants are at the core of Maya's (Karla Mosley) appearances in this week's "The Bold And The Beautiful" (B&B).

The long-running TV soap shows no sign of fatigue as it continues to engage viewers on its 27th season. The show is produced by CBS and airs from Monday to Thursday, with replays aired over TVGN.

For this broadcast week leading up to Halloween, there are several treats, and thankfully, no tricks. One of the expected treats is the participation of a few stars from "Big Brother 16," who will be episode guests in the soap.

As the storyline continues to unfold, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) hears about Eric's (John McCook) grievances straight from Eric himself. Maya sees one more way by which to try and get Rick for herself. Meanwhile, Ridge is challenged by Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) to prove that he is honest about his intentions.

Moving on in another direction, Rick accuses Eric. A question hangs in the air: Was Eric's decision to hire the latest CEO of Forrester Creations not based on merit, but rather on Eric's affiliation with Stephanie, more than what Eric has with Rick?

As for Ridge, although he has received the CEO bonanza, he now finds himself in the difficult position of having to go on the defensive. He is also in a confessing mood, much like Eric, only that it's not reciprocal. Instead, Ridge shares some revelations with Katie (Heather Tom) and strong emotions arise in her because of that confession.

At this point, Maya has already begun round 2 of her plan to get what her heart desires.

Danny Thompson of "Big Brother 16" is a guest in the Oct. 30 episode. The character that Danny is portraying will be the one to invite Liam to a Halloween party. Meanwhile, Caroline has other matters on her mind aside from Halloween. She now realizes just how much of a hit her marriage has taken.

Plenty of twists and turns are coming up in this week's B&B, much to the delight of its fans.
