'The Elder Scrolls 6' release date news 2016: Fans starting to lose hope as Bethesda admits development has not started
The rumors about the development and the release date of "The Elder Scrolls 6" started right after the fifth installment of the series was released. Since "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" was launched in 2011, fans have been waiting for the company to announce the next installment of the franchise up until today.
But they were somewhat disappointed that game developer Bethesda Game Studios decided to announce a remastered version of "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" during the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016. Many fans expected the company to announce the sequel of the fifth game. Nonetheless, some players are hoping that the remastered version of the current title will have fresh contents.
According to reports, Bethesda Game Studios executive producer Todd Howard admitted that the company has yet to assemble a team to work on "The Elder Scrolls 6." Apparently, the company's main focus is currently on different projects and not the highly anticipated "The Elder Scrolls 6."
"I could sit here and explain the game to you, and you would say, 'That sounds like you don't even have the technology. How long is that going to take?' So it is something that's going to take a lot of time," Howard said during the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016.
There were speculations suggesting that the company has already started the development of the new game. However, Bethesda PR and Marketing Vice President Pete Hines revealed that Bethesda has not even thought of developing the game as of the moment.
Despite the contradicting reports circulating all over the Internet, many fans are keeping it positive hoping for Bethesda to finally announce the game. As of the moment, nothing is set in stone yet. All reports with regard to "The Elder Scrolls 6" are merely just rumors and speculations.
