Bethesda unveiled the details for the upcoming housing expansion pack of "The Elder Scrolls Online" called Homestead.

According to the game developer, the Homestead downloadable content (DLC) will come for free alongside the upcoming major update for "Elder Scrolls Online" for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on February 2017. It will reportedly feature as much as 40 unique homes as well as more than 2,000 individual decorative and furniture options.

"With nearly 40 unique homes to choose from and over 2,000 individual furniture and decorative items with which to personalize your home, we can't wait see what our creative community comes up with when Homestead launches in February," the game developer noted in the press release for the upcoming Homestead DLC that was posted on its website.

Bethesda revealed that players will have to finish the Homestead tutorial quest first as soon as the DLC comes out early next year so they can earn their first home. However, the players should expect that their first property will just be a simple room at a local inn. But they can have the chance to upgrade their home by choosing 40 different styles and settings while staying in the modest room.

It is also mentioned that the styles of the homes will be based on one of the 10 playable races in "Elder Scrolls Online." However, the players can buy any home styles even if they belong to a different race. They can also purchase several homes in different locations.

Some of the unique decorative and furniture items that players can utilize to decorate their homes include beds, tables and chairs, chests and bars, as well as counters. They can also include light fixtures, paintings, plants, trees, food, barrels and other decorative items based on their own design.

A trailer for "The Elder Scrolls Online: Homestead DLC" was also released to demonstrate the contents of the upcoming expansion pack.
