Jesus (Noah Centineo) continues to fight for his life, and one of his siblings will take the blame for it when "The Fosters" returns later this month.

The first half of season 4 saw Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) continue to communicate with Nick (Louis Hunter) even though he is mentally unstable. She was also the one who convinced Jesus to keep her interaction with Nick a secret. While popping Jesus' ADD medication, Mariana drank beer which caused her to have hallucinations of Nick coming after her. Jesus confronted Nick about it, and their fight caused Jesus to get hit in the head that reactivated his brain injury.

Speaking with TV Guide, Ramirez teased that her character will be in a difficult place when the show kicks off. "It's kind of all Mariana's fault, let's be honest," the actress said at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. "I know Mariana is left with a lot of guilt and it definitely takes a toll on the family," she added.

Before Centineo got the role of Jesus back in season 3, Jake T. Austin was the actor who portrayed the character during the show's first two seasons. Many fans are still wondering what led to the actor's unexpected exit, so Austin finally explained why he decided to leave the program.

The 22-year-old had a Q&A on Twitter earlier this month, and he revealed that his departure was just a career move. One fan asked him about rumors that he didn't want to play "teenage roles anymore," but Austin clarified that it's not his reason for leaving. "Not true," he responded to the fan. "I just wanted to do roles with more substantive content."

Following his "The Fosters" stint, Austin has been keeping himself busy. Aside from joining "Dancing With the Stars" season 23, he also has a movie coming out this year titled "The Valley."

The fourth season of "The Fosters" returns on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.
