'The Good Fight' air date, latest news: CBS All Access releases full trailer for 'The Good Wife' spinoff series

CBS All Access has recently revealed the full trailer for the upcoming spinoff series "The Good Fight."

As reported by E! News, "The Good Fight" follows Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) who retires from Lockhart and Lee, but a financial scam which wipes out her entire retirement savings forces her to restart her law career. She and her goddaughter Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie) ends up joining a new firm, where Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) also works.

The spinoff series picks up one year after the events of "The Good Wife" series finale. The original series ended with Lucca, under instructions from Alicia Florrick (Julianna Marguiles), bringing up Diane's husband's possible infidelity in open court. Hence, aside from her financial ruin, it looks like Diane must also deal with her complicated relationship with her estranged husband, Kurt McVeigh (Gary Cole).

Aside from the previously-mentioned cast members, the upcoming spinoff series also includes other actors such as Delroy Lindo, Erica Tazel, Sara Steele and Justin Bartha.

As reported by Coming Soon, "The Good Fight" is produced by CBS Television Studios in cooperation with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions. CBS Studios International will be responsible for its worldwide distribution.

Robert and Michael King serve as showrunners and executive producers of the new series. Phil Alden Robinson also served as an executive producer and co-writer of the series' premiere episode. Other executive producers include Ridley Scott, David Zucker, Liz Glotzer, Alison Cross and Brooke Kennedy (who also served as the director of the show's first episode).

"The Good Fight" premiere will be available on-demand on CBS All Access on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 8 p.m. ET. A special broadcast preview of the first episode is scheduled to air on CBS Television Network on the same night. After its premiere, new episodes will be made available weekly on Sundays exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers.
