'The King of Fighter XIV' latest news: Patch 1.10 now available

As promised late last year, SNK has recently released a brand new update for the video game "The King of Fighters XIV."

According to Gear Nuke, this latest update adds new color variation, and it has significantly improved stability and the visuals of the game. The upgrade was made possible due to revamped lighting and improved shaders for the character models. They even did a detailed comparison of the game before and after the installation of the update to see how much the patch upgraded the video game's visuals.

The site also noted how the character models now appear to fit the art style of the game, thanks to the retouch in their colors and shading with the patch's installation. The update also contains a few other fixes to improve the game's functionality.

Patch 1.10 for "The King of Fighters XIV" is a 3.7 GB download. As reported by PlayStation Lifestyle, the full patch notes for this latest update include significant graphical improvements for the characters and other aspects; and two new color variations per character.

Players can also now select characters or teams after every match when they use the RANDOM or TEAM RANDOM options found on the MEMBER SELECT screen. Settings for PLAYER 2 can now also be saved on the Button Configuration Screen.

There are 50 new profile icons that were added to the game, and these will automatically be unlocked after installing the update. 100 new Titles have also been added, and one title is unlocked for every online match after the update.

Moreover, the Background Noise Sound Effects in FREE MATCH now features all 16 types. However, as a result of these additions, some controls have been modified.

It can be recalled that back in December, PlayStation released a teaser trailer which announced the version 1.10 update of "The King of Fighters XIV." As they hinted then, players will surely notice the improved visuals after they installed the patch 1.10 update.
