There is no denying that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is one of the most anticipated titles in 2017. Out to fulfill its promise, Nintendo has new updates about Link and the gameplay of the upcoming game.

Nintendo just released some important updates about "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" on its Facebook page. It features the popular character Link, along with a new enemy called the Guardians. These antagonists are described as characters with different "shapes and sizes."

"As you've seen in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Link will need to battle enemies called Guardians that come in a variety of sizes and shapes," the Nintendo post reads.

Guardians are like small, robotic creatures that are comparable to an army knife. Their hands are made of sharp knives while their metallic bodies flare with blue neon lights. The photo features Link fighting with the new enemy.

The screenshot also gives a hint of the temple location with decorated walls. iDigital Times observed that the walls seem to feature the Sheikah symbol or the Eye of Truth.

As for the storyline of the game, not much has been said about it except the start of the game with Link waking up from a long sleep. The main character hears a mysterious voice and eventually discovers that 10 years ago, a character called Calamity Ganon brought wrath to Hyrule before being shut in Hyrule Castle.

Nintendo's latest update came after the latest art was revealed. Nintendo Life noticed that the latest art for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" retains the original artwork for Nintendo NES, showing Link looking over a mountainous view.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is out for Nintendo Switch and Wii U. The game was announced in 2013 and has suffered from two delays. Nintendo finally announced that the game will be released in 2017, but did not disclose the exact date.
