Following the on-set accident that halted filming this year, production of "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure" is scheduled to resume in February.

According to Deadline, the cast and crew schedules have been worked out and filming of the dystopian sci-fi film will commence early in the new year in a new, undisclosed location.

Filming on "The Death Cure," the third installment in the "Maze Runner" film series, was halted in March after Dylan O'Brien, the popular YA franchise's star, was seriously injured in an accident on the film's Vancouver set.

O'Brien was reportedly hospitalized with injuries on his face after he fell off the roof of a moving vehicle, with various outlets saying that he had fractured either his orbital socket or his cheekbone.

Following the accident, production was set to continue on May 9. However, in late April, Fox shut down the production of the film indefinitely to give O'Brien more time to recover.

"The resumption of principal photography on 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure' has been further delayed to allow Dylan O'Brien more time to fully recover from his injuries," the studio said in a statement at the time, adding, "We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible."

Along with the production's resumption, the release date for "The Death Cure" was also moved. From its original release date of Feb. 17, 2017, the film is now scheduled to hit theaters on Jan. 12, 2018.

Meanwhile, O'Brien has been photographed for the first time following his accident nearly six months ago. The "Teen Wolf" actor was spotted at the Jamba Juice in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, where a fan had her picture taken with him while he grabbed a drink at the store.

According to E! News, the fan, who posted her photo with O'Brien on Twitter, said that the actor was in a good mood and happily chatted with her before he left.
