'The Originals' season 4 air date, spoilers: Caroline saves Klaus?
"The Originals" season 4 isn't returning to the small screen until next year but spoilers and updates on what will come next have already surfaced ahead.
According to the latest reports, the series' fourth installment is going to be the last one from The CW network. It's said that the show will be cancelled after season 4 but it will be picked up by ABC for season 5. There is no confirmation on this rumor, however.
Speculations of cancellation started after the announcement of the final season of its predecessor, "The Vampire Diaries." Fans also started to believe in the rumors after it was confirmed that "The Originals" season 4 will have fewer episodes. Cutting short the number of episodes in a TV series usually indicates that it's going to be cancelled.
But since there is no official announcement about this yet, fans can be assured of a more thrilling and intense season featuring the Mikaelson family. As detailed in spoilers, season 4 will pick up five years after the events from the season 3 finale.
This means that the daughter of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) will no longer be a baby. Hope (Summer Fontana) will be all grown up and may even be the key to save her father from the Tunde blade.
Klaus was last seen in a coma. Hayley has been trying to look for a cure that will break the spell and get Klaus out of it. Hope could be the answer as she is revealed to be a powerful vampire with super powers that may break the coma.
However, other rumors suggest that it's going to be Caroline (Candice Accola) from "The Vampire Diaries" who will come to the rescue. It can be recalled that Caroline and Klaus shared a special bond in the main series. If a crossover is indeed going to happen, it's expected to get very complicated.
Fans will have to stay tuned for more updates and details. "The Originals" season 4 will premiere sometime in 2017.
