'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' news: Teresa Giudice 'thriving' one year after getting out of jail; Melissa Gorga shares family holiday photo
One year after getting out of jail, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHNJ)" star Teresa Giudice is happy to be home with her kids despite the struggles she is currently facing.
After serving time for nearly a year on fraud charges, Teresa walked out of the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut on Dec. 23, 2015. A year after her release, the reality star's lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., revealed that she's "thriving." A source close to Teresa added that she is doing fine raising her four kids on her own. "She is still so happy to be home and to be there for her girls," the source told People magazine.
Joe, Teresa's husband of 17 years, is currently serving a 41-month sentence at New Jersey's Federal Correctional Institution for fraud and tax evasion charges. Since this is Teresa's first Christmas without her beloved husband, Leonard mentioned that the Bravo celebrity "misses Joe a lot."
Teresa reportedly spent Christmas Eve with her side of the family at her brother Joe and sister-in-law/"RHNJ" costar Melissa Gorga's house. Although the rest of the "RHNJ" stars have had some tough moments, Melissa has managed to keep her family together. The mother of three recently celebrated the holidays with her family, posting a picture-perfect portrait of them together via Instagram. The picture was taken by photographer Linda Marie in the back yard of the Gorga–Giudice mansion in New Jersey.
"Whatever Brings you happiness, whatever brings you joy, whatever is meaningful to you, may it be yours this Christmas," the TV personality wrote in the caption. "With Love, Joe, Melissa, Antonia, Gino, & Joey," the caption went on to say.
Another photo from the singer/designer's social media profile shows Teresa and Melissa posing in front of the fireplace with all their kids together. Melissa wore a red sleeved dress, while her co-star, Teresa, sported a classy black jumpsuit.
