'The Sims 4' DLC release date rumors update: More expansion packs coming up after 'City Living;' 'Pets,' 'Seasons' DLC pack up next?

Fans are still waiting for the next expansion pack for "The Sims 4," which is expected to arrive next month. The next DLC pack, "City Living" will be featuring new residential spaces and activities right in the heart of the urban city. However, Electronic Arts seems to be not done yet in further expanding the Sims world this year. If the rumors are anything to go by, at least two more expansion packs can be expected by the players before the year ends.

According to iTech Post, two more DLC packs will be released following the "City Living" expansion this November. These new content packs for "The Sims 4" are no other than the much awaited "Pets" and "Seasons" DLC. These contents have long been rumored to be included in "The Sims 4," and many players would probably think that EA is long overdue in releasing these expansion packs.

Neurogadget noted a popular Reddit discussion back in September where a forum user known as Davidjaa asked whether "The Sims 4" will see the "Pets" and "Seasons" expansion packs after "City Living." Interestingly, one of the forum moderators from EA gave a teasing reply, stating "I think so. But what do I know?"

The online publication said that one of the two rumored DLCs will arrive late in November, while the other one will make it just in time for the holiday season this December. It is not clear, however, which between "Pets" and "Seasons" will be released first.

It will not be surprising if EA ultimately decides to release "Pets" and "Seasons" in the coming weeks or months. After all, these two expansion packs have been very popular since they were first introduced in the second iteration of the highly successful life simulation game series, "The Sims 2." Following the huge success of these expansion packs, "Pets" and "Seasons" were once again featured in "The Sims 3."

Players can expect different weather occurrence from the "Seasons" DLC, including the sunny, rainy, stormy, snowy, and a lot more. There will also be a variety of settings and activities attributed to the four seasons, namely Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

On the other hand, "Pets" will allow players to create their own pets with their respective personalities and features. As seen in "The Sims 3," the players can choose among different pet types, including critters, dogs, cats, birds, and horses.
