'The Walking Dead' season 7 cast rumors: 'Lost' alum Harold Perrineau reportedly spotted on-set, playing Ezekiel?
Fans of AMC's "The Walking Dead" are currently in a speculation frenzy over rumors that an actor from the cult-favorite ABC series "Lost" has been spotted on the set of the popular zombie apocalypse series.
A new report from the Spoiling Dead Fans Facebook page claims that "Lost" alum Harold Perrineau, who also starred in NBC's "Constantine," was seen on the set of "The Walking Dead," which is filmed in an isolated area in Georgia.
According to the group, which warns that the Perrineau sighting is nothing but a rumor at this point, the news comes from witnesses who reported that they think they saw the actor on the set of "TWD."
Apart from Perrineau, fans also reported spotting "The Walking Dead" characters Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Aaron (Ross Marquand), Morgan (Lennie James), Carol (Melissa McBride), Heath (Corey Hawkins), and some Kingdom people.
Fans believe that Perrineau could be playing the role of Ezekiel in the upcoming seventh season of the popular AMC series.
In the "Walking Dead" comic books, Ezekiel is a former zookeeper who becomes the eccentric leader of a community called the Kingdom. In the aftermath of Rick and company's initial encounter with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Ezekiel, who keeps a pet tiger, becomes an ally of Rick and the Alexandrians in their fight againts the new main villain.
With "The Walking Dead" getting closer and closer to the Kingdom storyline, fans have been speculating on who could play the role of Ezekiel. Perrineau has been one of the most oft-mentioned actors to take on the role.
Meanwhile, "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, said that the upcoming season 7 will be "hardcore" and "crazy."
"I can't really talk about Season 7, but it's such a crazy season we've started," he told TV Guide. "It's just hardcore. It's so hardcore and so large."
When asked about the season 6 finale and whether or not he could talk about the climactic moment in that episode, Reedus said that "all answers to that will be revealed [in] the beginning of 7."
According to the actor, the show means so much to him and his co-actors that they don't enjoy talking about future episodes publicly.
"If something's personal, you don't really blab it, you know what I mean?" he said.
"The Walking Dead" season 7 debuts in October on AMC.
