'Thor: Ragnarok' news: Sam Neill boards film; director teases Doctor Strange cameo

"Jurassic Park" star Sam Neill has revealed that he is in "Thor: Ragnarok," the upcoming third film in Marvel's "Thor" stand-alone series.

The actor spilled the beans during an interview with ShortList, in which he also said that he has already filmed scenes for his super-secret "Ragnarok" role.

"... I did a couple of days on 'Thor' just before I came over here," Neill said, adding that he "had to sign all sorts of things" and that he really couldn't divulge any info about his mystery character.

"So if I say anything else, Marvel's secret agents — and they are lethal — will come and get me and probably my children, as well," he teased.

"Thor: Ragnarok" reunites Neill with his "Jurassic Park" co-star Jeff Goldblum, who plays The Grandmaster, a manipulative cosmic being, in the superhero film. In "Jurassic Park" (1993), Neill and Goldblum played paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant and mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm, respectively.

"Ragnarok" also brings together Neill with director Taika Waititi, who helmed the adventure film "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" (2016), in which Neill stars.

Meanwhile, Waititi has commented on the fan theories about a possible "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Doctor Strange" crossover — an idea that was fueled by a major clue in a photo taken on the set of "Ragnarok" in August.

In that on-set photo, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is seen standing in a filming location that stood for New York City. In Thor's hand is a card with what may be a huge Marvel Easter egg — the address of Doctor Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) Greenwich Village home, otherwise known as the Sanctum Sanctorum.

Speaking with Digital Spy, the "Ragnarok" director addressed the possibility of Thor meeting with Doctor Strange in "Ragnarok," saying, "I don't know actually. I can't comment on it. It may have just been something for the fans."

As for the possibility of Cumberbatch making a cameo in "Ragnarok," he said, "Might be something like that. Might be a little tease. Or maybe a tease just for people who wanted to zoom into that photo."

"Thor: Ragnarok" will be released on Nov. 3, 2017.
