'Total War: Warhammer' Christmas & 2017 DLC release date: Legendary Lord out now on Steam; new race drops February
Fans of Creative Assembly's "Total War: Warhammer" are in for a treat. The video game developer has been brewing fresh content for their turn-based strategy video game. Recently, the studio teased that a new race and a Legendary Lord will be making its way to the franchise.
When the extension launches sometime in February 2017, gamers will be able to play a new race. But for now, players can enjoy the Legendary Lord Grombrindal, the White Dwarf, on Steam. To acquire the character, gamers need to have an exclusive Steam key to unlock it.
Players need to purchase the third issue of White Dwarf, the November 2016 issue, to be able to play Grombrindal. The publication is available on Games Workshop websites and Warhammer stores, as well as independent retailers and news stands.
At Games Workshop and Warhammer stores, gamers simply need to ask the staff for a key card, which will reportedly be available until Jan. 3, 2017 or until the store runs out.
As revealed on the official Facebook page for "Total War: Warhammer," a new game edition will drop in February next year. The Old World Edition of the title comes with the original game and introduces a new race called Bretonnia as well as a novella, titled "The Prince of Altdorf," from game writer Andy Hall. The upcoming Bretonnia Race Pack would be available for free on Stream, meanwhile the novella is only for owners of the physical copies of the game.
Little is known about Bretonnia, but according to the studio, it has powerful units which are led by three playable Legendary Lords. King Louen Leoncoeur, Alberic of Bordeleaux, and the Fay Enchantress are heading the feudal kingdom. Gamers can expect more information to be revealed during the New Year.
Watch out for more updates on "Total War: Warhammer."
