'Uncharted 4' DLC release date, news and updates: Naughty Dog to unveil DLC next month
Naughty Dog is expected to launch new downloadable content (DLC) for its action-adventure video game "Uncharted 4." The DLC will be for the fourth installment in the series, which was launched earlier this year, and it will reportedly feature a single-player story pack.
The latest expansion is expected to be a standalone, which means that players don't really have to own the main game to get this DLC. Though the pack will be related to the content of the fourth installment, it will not be contained or limited within the narrative of the game.
The DLC will follow the point of view of Samuel, the brother of "Uncharted" lead character Nathan Drake. Another familiar character, Sully, will be making an appearance in the game. He will reportedly be appear in the first segment of the game, giving him the task of introducing the mission to the DLC's lead character.
Meanwhile, there are also reports suggesting that Sully and Sam will be going on an adventure together, and Nathan will be the one to pass on the mission to his brother. Furthermore, reports say that Nathan's daughter, Cassie, will not be appearing in the expansion pack. But she is expected to be the heroin of an upcoming "Uncharted" title.
Although there are a bunch of rumors about the features and the gameplay of the title, the release date for the upcoming DLC is still unknown. According to reports, the expansion pack will be unveiled at the PlayStation Experience event on Dec. 3 and 4. Reports say that the studio initially planned to focus on "Uncharted 4: Survival," but it later on changed the plan, and decided to launch the DLC before the next title. The expansion, however, will be made available to gamers from all over the world in the first quarter of 2017.
Watch out for more updates on the upcoming DLC for "Uncharted 4."
