'WarFriends' guide, tips: how to start playing the new 1v1 multiplayer game

Chillingo officially launched the new online tactical action game "WarFriends" on Android this month.

The one-on-one multiplayer game was first released on iOS in April 2016 but the game finally made its way to Android users through the Play Store for free.

For those who already downloaded the game, players simply need to defeat a group of artificial intelligence (AI) troops and attempt to lessen the health level of their leader that is being controlled by another player.

Players only need to remember several controls and the user interface (UI) to be able to play the game. These include the Shoot control, which will allow players to shoot their weapons toward their enemies by tapping it repeatedly. They can also aim at a target by pressing and holding on an enemy area to bring their scope closer to the subject.

The Cover control, on the other hand, can be activated by swiping in either left or right direction of the shield where players want to be covered. But shields can be destroyed temporarily by bullets or explosives.

On the other hand, players can also change their weapons by tapping the small indicator located at the bottom right of the battle screen to allow them to change their weapons from primary guns, secondary guns, handguns, as well as explosives. Players can also deploy their units by selecting the option on the bottom left side of the screen.

Players can also upgrade their troops every time they gather currency from their wins. As soon as they get enough currency, they can simply tap "Next" at the game's main menu and choose "My Army" to see the list of troops that they can avail.

As soon as the players begin to win matches, they can start getting different kinds of in-game currencies. One of them is the Gold currency, which is considered as the premium currency that players can get by winning. Gold can also be purchased from $1.99 to $99.99.

Other currencies include the Warbucks and the Medals.
