WWE news 2016: Randy Orton training for successful comeback

As the action continues leading up to another pay-per-view event, the World Wrestling Entertainment is certainly excited to see one of their biggest stars preparing for his comeback.

Randy Orton has been one of the biggest WWE superstars since he arrived back in 2002. He has won various titles and is a four-time World Heavyweight Champion as well as eight-time WWE Champion.

However, "The Viper" has been out since late 2015 due to a shoulder injury.

According to Wrestling Inc, the injury occurred in a match in Chicago where Orton stretched a capsule in his shoulder.

Orton explained: "I had a match October (12) in Chicago. My shoulder got stretched back, and I had a repair 12 years ago that was destroyed. I had a little pain, got an MRI and was told (they) had to fix my shoulder again. I had a new guy do it and had a stabilization done that they do to rugby players get, and they're some tough customers."

It has been more than seven months now that Orton has been out of action but most recently, the WWE unveiled that Orton will make his comeback and will do it in one of the biggest stages in professional wrestling, in WWE SummerSlam.

In the announcement made by the company, Orton will make his comeback by battling Brock Lesnar.

With both being quite popular and having enjoyed big successes as professional wrestlers, it is intriguing to see that the two will only meet in a pay-per-view event for the first time despite being big names in the industry.

It is also going to be intriguing to watch how Orton will respond in his first match back as he will face one of the most dominating performers in the history of sports entertainment in Lesnar.

There should still be a lot of updates as the battle draws near, but SummerSlam has definitely become hotter since the reveal of this marquee match-up.
