'WWE 2K17' DLC news: Goldberg DLC to be available for purchase this week
In a matter of days, those who were not able to pre-order "WWE 2K17" will have the chance to get their hands on the Goldberg downloadable content (DLC).
It has been announced that the Goldberg pack, which came as a pre-order bonus for the latest iteration of the wrestling simulation game, will be available starting Tuesday, Nov. 8, but not for free. Fans will have to purchase it for $4.99
With the "WWE 2K17" Goldberg DLC, players are getting two versions of the returning superstar and former World Heavyweight Champion, who just came back to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to settle his longstanding feud with cover athlete and long-time rival Brock Lesnar for the final time.
First is a version of the superstar in WWE the while the other one was from during the wrestling legend's iconic days at the World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where it all started for Goldberg.
The "WWE 2K17" DLC also comes with two WCW arenas that will give players the chance to recreate his most memorable matches in those rings in addition to Halloween Havoc and WCW Monday Nitro.
Attack of the Fanboy points out that unlike before, where developer 2K Games releases pre-order bonuses as DLCs three months after the game's launch, this "WWE 2K17" pre-order bonus is just being made available to everyone after a month.
The reason for this could be Goldberg setting foot in the WWE ring 12 years after he defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 20 and their imminent rematch rumored to take place at the Survivor Series.
In other news, 2K Games has rolled out a PlayStation 3 and Xbox One patch for "WWE 2K17" to fix some lingering issues on the gameplay, WWE Universe and WWE Creation.
2K also made necessary polishing in the form of "a number of essential fixes and updates related to functionality" for the upcoming Legends Pack. Players can check out the complete patch notes here.
