WWE Rumors 2016: Return of two popular veterans coming?
As the "new era" of the World Wrestling Entertainment begins, there is still a lot of speculation on wrestlers making a possible return.
WWE Battleground recently ended and now both Raw and SmackDown Live brands are going to start their own storylines that are separate and should keep fans tuned in to both shows.
And with separate stars and storylines, it is rumored that two veteran stars are making a return to the WWE.
According to Australia Network News, big names are set to return to the company as Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle are reportedly coming back to the fold.
Many know Angle as a decorated Olympic wrestler and one of the most accomplished professional wrestling superstars of all time.
Back in May, Angle opened up about the possibility of returning to the WWE, as reported by Wrestle Zone.
Angle may return to the SmackDown Live roster to help bolster audiences to tune in to the revamped show.
Given that Raw is the more popular brand, bringing in big names like Angle will only help SmackDown Live achieve the same levels.
The WWE is already seen giving the brand all the push it needs as Dean Ambrose retained the WWE Championship in Battleground after outlasting Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, both representing Raw.
And the addition of Angle to the lineup will definitely open up new angles that will keep fans hooked.
Meanwhile, Hardy is also another fan favorite that many want to see back in the company.
In an interview with Jim Ross, Hardy revealed that many remember him for his matches with the WWE, namely his big battle against The Undertaker.
When asked if people approach him on the match, Hardy replied: "All the time man. We were doing a signing before a show Saturday here in North Carolina and I don't know how many people said man, the best match you've ever had was you against The Taker, it was so good— and your (Ross) commentary comes up in the balance as well. Oh my God, just everything was so perfect about that match.
"Every time, I go back and watch that. I haven't watched that in a while, but every time that I do I get goosebumps, and if you get the goosebumps man, it's always good."
It should be very interesting to see how the futures of these two pan out.
