WWE Rumors 2016: Matt Hardy comeback against Bray Wyatt?
It seems like a wrestling veteran is looking to go back to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to face-off against one of the big names in the company today.
Reports claim that Matt Hardy is open for the chance to return to the WWE and face "The Eater of Worlds," Bray Wyatt.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, the wrestler shared his openness to having a match-up with one of WWE's rising stars.
Hardy said: "I would love, one day down that road, to show up in WWE and have a match with the Bray Wyatt. I would love to bring him to my battlefield and delete him — that would be my honor."
It is also reported that Hardy appreciates what Wyatt brings to the business, but he is also more than willing to end his reign of terror.
Hardy was last seen with the WWE back in 2010. He was one of the popular wrestlers during his time, but the relationship between the two ended on a sour note following Hardy being sent home by the WWE during a European tour.
This was followed by Hardy being released by the company in a dramatic event.
After this, Hardy spent his time with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling in 2011 before going o the independent circuit. He also had time with Ring of Honor before returning back to TNA in 2014.
Most recently, Hardy ended his feud with brother Jeff in TNA during a match dubbed as "The Final Deletion" with Matt winning, becoming sole owner of the Hardy brand.
If he does make his way back to the WWE, it should be great for the wrestling fans since Matt is definitely a highlight reel superstar and has a lot to offer to help younger wrestlers get over the hump.
With the WWE, he has won the ECW Championship, the United States Championship, and the Hardcore Championship, among others.
