Comics fans will be more than glad to know the return of the "X-Men: Gold" and the "X-Men: Blue," the color-coded names of the two comic books which were very popular back in the 90s.

As reported by IGN, the "X-Men: Gold" and the "X-Men: Blue" are set to launch in April 2017 as part of Marvel's wave of "ResurrXion" titles, which sprung out of the upcoming "Inhumans vs. X-Men" event. Both books will be issued twice per month.

As announced by Marvel, the "X-Men: Gold" is written by Marc Guggenheim and drawn by Ardian Syaf. The book is intended to bring the mutants back to their roles as superheroes and symbols of hope. The team will, for the first time, be led by phase-shifter Kitty Pryde, and will also include Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Rachel Grey, and Old Man Logan.

"Kitty is the right person to bring the X-Men into the future, to herald in the next era of the X-Men," Guggenheim told IGN. "We are post the war with the Inhumans. The X-Men are sort of at a crossroads. They're at a point where they are trying to decide, is there a future for the X-Men? And Kitty is very much of the mindset that there is a future for the X-Men and it's a bright future."

In another announcement by Marvel, "The X-Men: Blue" will bring together five young time-displaced mutants such as Jean Grey (their leader), Cyclops, Beast, Angel, and Iceman as they try to make a world where humanity is no longer fearful of mutants. With the death of Professor X, their greatest enemy, Magneto, will be the team's mentor. The book is written by Cullen Bunn and drawn by Jorge Molina.

Although the X-Men's "Gold" and "Blue" teams will be assigned their own books, both mutant groups will still be operating in the same headquarters. Members of both teams will also have appearances in both books.
