Xbox Games with Gold Free Games List April 2015: Double Number of Free Games for Members
Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners who have signed up for the Games with Gold membership program on Xbox Live will get double the usual number of free games in April. The announcement was made by Microsoft on Xbox Wire on Thursday.
April will see Xbox One gamers in the program getting two games while those members using the Xbox 360 are due to get four games. Throughout the month of April two games will be available for Xbox One owners, the first in the form of the RPG "Child of Light" from Ubisoft, which is based on fairytales and has a number of battles and puzzles for those interested in the genre. Then there is "Pool Nation FX," a billiards game with great physics.
Xbox 360 users are going to get four new games and these will be split to cover the first and second half of the month. Between April 1 and April 15, the two new games are: "Gears of War: Judgment," the latest game in the series; and "Terraria," a game similar to "2D Minecraft." Both can be downloaded and played for free.
In the latter half of the month, the two new games available for free are "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag," for those who want to indulge in their pirate fantasies and ship to ship combat; and "Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel," which focuses mainly on cooperative gameplay with a friend, after which the duo will have to go up against a drug cartel while completing a series of missions.
Microsoft announced that the free games were doubled for April to show its appreciation for Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners who have subscribed to the Games with Gold program. Under this program the company said over 100 million games had been downloaded by gamers and over 5 billion game scores earned.
