Xiaomi Mi Note 2 release date, specs rumors: Leaked image shows details of new smartphone?
Chinese tech company, Xiaomi is said to be working on two new devices that will soon conquer the tight smartphone market—the Mi Note 2 Pro and the Mi 5S. Although Xiaomi has yet to provide any official detail with regard to the report, there are speculations suggesting that the two smartphones will come out in the last quarter of 2016.
Apparently, the company has posted an image on their Weibo page that has a "2>5" equation. According to industry experts, the image appears to be a teaser, which signals the arrival of the highly anticipated Mi Note 2. Although the Xiaomi has yet to confirm the rumor, there are already speculations emerging all over the internet suggesting that the Mi Note 2 will come out as more powerful than Xiaomi Mi 5.
According to the latest reports, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is going to carry a whopping 5.7-inch display. There are also speculations that the device will have a full 2K resolution support. If rumors prove to be true, the handset will run on a Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor from Qualcomm to be paired with 4 GB of RAM. The reports added that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will have 64 GB of internal storage capacity; however, there is still no report if the storage is going to be expandable through MicroSD.
Other features of the device include a fingerprint reader and a USB Type-C port. There are also reports suggesting that the Mi Note 2 will feature an impressive primary camera, which is expected to be at 23-megapixel. The smartphone's front-facing snapper is said to be at 12-megapixel. The device definitely has something to offer on the table once it hits the market.
Meanwhile, the device is also expected to come out with a pre-installed Android 5.1 Lollipop, which will soon be updated to Marshmallow OS.
As of the moment, the company has yet to provide the release date details of the upcoming handset.
