Xperia Z3, Compact, Tablet Compact Release Date Video Hint: Sony to Unveil 3 New Devices on September 3, 2014
September 3 is going to be a great day for Sony Xperia fans as the Xperia team will unveil another set of great Android smart devices. Sony is likely to reveal three new devices in their press event in Berlin, prior to IFA 2014's official start date in September 5.
In a short video that Sony Xperia's Official YouTube channel posted, the hint it gave out about the three new devices to be announced, is nothing short of being subtle. It only showed a few people going about their regular routines, but what really stood out was the first and last part of the video.
In the beginning of the video, it counts up to three, hinting that there are three devices to be announced. On the later part of the video, you'll also see a quick flash of silhouettes of three devices of varied sizes. These could possibly be a tablet and two smartphones. The last part was a bit more puzzling, except the "03:SE:PT:14" part.
Here's how they have appeared in order:
07:MM:06:14
8C:u1:28:00
03:06:H2:00
03:SE:PT:14
7MM probably points out to 7mm (thickness?), H20 would also mean that all of them would be water resistant, and the last part simply states the date of when these devices will be officially announced. The "Cu" part, however, leaves us a bit perplexed.
As for which gadgets these might be, according to xperiablog.net, we are expecting to see Sony's Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.
Also, Xperia E3, said to be a budget smartphone for the Xperia line of smartphones, might also share the spotlight with these big three.
As to be expected, the main focus is set on Sony's next flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z3. Like its previous predecessors, the Z3 would retain the most recent specs and features like the waterproofing, while beefing up its power with a slight faster 2.5 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor.
However, it will have a slightly lower battery capacity of 3100 mAh as compared to the previous Xperia Z2's 3200 mAh.
As for the release date and other details, we'll just have to wait until September 3 to learn more.
