'Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links' latest update: First campaign event features duel with Yugi Muto
Since its release in the United States, "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links" has seen over 12 million downloads and has continued to enjoy massive popularity and success. In fact, the game's first campaign event has recently been announced by Konami.
As reported by iDigitalTimes, the game's first campaign event allows mobile duelists to fight against Yugi Muto in the Duel World for a chance to win some amazing new cards. The legendary card duelist will randomly appear in the Duel World just like the other Duel Legends from Jan. 19 until Jan. 24.
Should a player win against Yugi Muto, that gamer walks away with a victory reward card that cannot be acquired anywhere else, such as Gandora the Dragon of Destruction.
Yugi will not be appearing in the Duel Gate, and so players will have to log-in to "Duel Links" frequently in order to have the opportunity to have a duel with him. Only one Yugi Muto will be making an appearance in Duel World at one time.
The Duel Assessment at the end of each duel is similar to how it has always been done when facing other Legendary Duelists. Yugi Muto's random appearance is not dependent to the spawning of Standard or Legendary Duelists. Every duelist will have the chance to face the Legendary Duelist at any one time.
Duel Orbs also has no effect on the frequency of Yugi Muto's appearance in the Duel World. At Level 20 or higher, the legendary card duelist's appearance is random and is dependent on the gamer's individual Stage level.
Gamers will want to encounter Yugi Muto as often as possible if they want to acquire some of his cards to add to their own powerful decks. He will also be appearing at three different levels — 10, 20 and 30 — and each level offers better and even rarer cards.
"Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links" is a free-to-play digital card game which was released in North America on Jan. 13.
