Reality star and young cosmetics mogul, Kylie Jenner, is facing legal action over an allegedly copied idea of a campaign ad for her Kylie Lip Kit.

Recently, Jenner's cosmetics brand posted a campaign ad for her sold-out Lip Kit line via the brand's official Instagram page. Shortly after, makeup artist Vlada Haggerty raised the red card and claimed that Jenner allegedly copied an almost exactly the same concept for the campaign ad.

Haggerty posted a side-by-side comparison of her own campaign ad — which was posted earlier — alongside Kylie Cosmetics ad in question. In the same post she said, "Really @kyliecosmetics? Haven't you gotten enough 'inspiration' from me already? Left is a the work @juliakuzmenko, @brittrafuson and I shot a few months ago and right is @kyliecosmetics new campaign."

Just this week, Women's Wear Daily (WWD) confirmed that Haggerty filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement. WWD quoted Stephen McArthur, the lawyer who represents Haggerty, "Vlada Haggerty is a Los Angeles makeup artist who is known for pioneering the dripping lip art style. This is the second time that Kylie Cosmetics has taken one of [her] images without any acknowledgment and without the payment of a proper licensing fee, which is copyright infringement."

This is not the first time Jenner's cosmetics brand hit a nerve on Haggerty. Back in 2015 when Jenner's brand was just launched, the reality star's company started using the melting lip logo that was allegedly another original art from Haggerty's portfolio without giving proper credits to the latter.

In an interview with Refinery29 in December 2015, Haggerty said, "I realized that I wasn't given credit for the photo; there was no mention of my name, not even a tag ... People [began] commenting [and] asking to give me the credit for the picture. The page finally edited the caption the next day to 'inspo @vladamua #lipkitbykylie.'"

However, Haggerty revealed in the same interview that no one from Jenner's camp tried to reach out to her about the issue at the time.

According to TMZ, they tried to reach out to Jenner's camp for comment on the issue but have not got an answer yet.
