'Pretty Little Liars' season 7 news, updates: Spoby reunion possible? Will Spencer and Toby survive their respective fates?

The "Pretty Little Liars" season 7A summer finale presented viewers with a shocking twist that only hypes up anticipation for the last 10 episodes of the series airing in April.

In the summer finale, Toby (Keegan Allen), who was on his way out of Rosewood with his fiancé Yvonne (Kara Royster), figured in an accident. It wasn't confirmed in the ending if Toby survived or not. Meanwhile, Jenna Marshall (Tammin Sursok) shot Spencer (Troian Bellisario) in the chest, and things were touch and go for her.

Series creator I. Marlene King said Spencer will survive mainly because much of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7B's storyline will delve into her backstory and see her going through an emotional rollercoaster after learning she's Mary Drake's (Andrea Parker) biological daughter.

TV Line recently shared some of the things they're hoping will happen in the second half of "Pretty Little Liars'" final series.

"Speaking of Spencer, I'm praying for speedy recoveries for her and Toby so they can move into that hand-crafted dream house by the series' end," the publication noted.

With Yvonne fighting for her dear life in the hospital, there's a big possibility the character will be killed off early in season 7B. That will give Spoby the opportunity to reunite.

It's worth noting that Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) have reunited, and Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) are already engaged. Even Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) seem to be finally giving their relationship a shot. It will be fitting to see Spencer get her happily ever after, too.

Still, with Ezra's ex back in the picture, there's a chance his wedding with Aria might not push through. If that happens, will Aria seek comfort from Jason (Drew Van Acker)? Considering King has already hinted that there could be more than one wedding happening in the second half of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7, it will be worth anticipating who among the pairs will tie the knot.

What's certain is that Emily and Ali will be having their "first baby" after the former encouraged the latter to keep the child she's carrying.

"Pretty Little Liars" season 7B will return to Freeform sometime next year.
