For those who have been waiting for the latest Nexus model, this month may give the tech enthusiasts what they want. According to the latest rumors, there is a huge possibility that Google will be releasing the much anticipated new design of its tablet, the Google Nexus 7 2016 this month. It has long been rumored that the mentioned device will be arriving sometime this year, but the Nexus fans may not have to wait much longer as the latest Nexus model is finally coming this May.

According to the University Herald, the launching of the Google Nexus 7 2016 will be held during an event of Google scheduled this month, the IO Developers Conference. Those who will be attending the said event will see for the first time the latest iteration of the Nexus device. Google has been reported to form a team of tech experts from different electronics giants such as Huawei, Samsung, HTC, Motorola and Asus, in order to develop the forthcoming Nexus 7. According to a report from Gotta Be Mobile, Google has already made a deal with HTC to create the latest Nexus 7 that will be presented during the said I/O Developers Conference.

According to some reports, Google Nexus 7 2016 is going to sport a force touch feature, something which was already highlighted by Apple in their devices. Also, the anticipated new Nexus 7 model is rumored to get the Snapdragon 820 chipset from Qualcomm as its processor. While the latest Nexus 7 is expected to be released in two variants, they will be powered by the same SnapDragon chipset and the NVIDIA Tegra x1 processor, as well as having 4 GB of RAM and 3000 mAh battery capacity. Perhaps one of the highlight features of Google Nexus 7 2016 is the 2 TB external storage capacity through the use of a microSD card. For the screen display, the base model will have a 5-inch display, while the other variant is going to have a 7-inch screen.
