ABC's flagship fairytale drama, "Once Upon a Time" season 6 is premiering in a few days, and it looks like things will be pretty exciting for the gang of Storybrooke.
The series picks up right where season 5 left off, with Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) enjoying a romantic scene. Previous spoilers for episode 1 reveal that the couple is planning to unwind, relax, and chill out following the events of the season 5 finale.
However, in the trailer released on YouTube, Captain Swan's makeout session was cut short when the house started shaking, as if there was an earthquake. The two step out to check what's going on. There's a shadow coming over them, and when they look up to investigate, they see an airship hovering over Storybrooke. Could it be the one bearing Mr. Hyde's (Sam Witwer) neighbors from the Land of Untold Story, which crashlands in Storybrooke?
Meanwhile, the synopsis for "Once Upon a Time" season 6 episode 1 titled "The Savior" has just been released by Carter Matt. The synopsis reads:
"As our heroes set out to stop Hyde, Emma develops a mysterious side effect, and Storybrooke becomes a haven for refugees from the Land of Untold Stories. Meanwhile, Regina and Zelena embrace their newfound sisterhood by becoming roommates, while Rumple tries to free Belle from the sleeping Curse with the help of a stranger. In flashback, Jafar confronts an afflicted Aladdin in Agrabah, and a secret about the Savior is revealed."
What side effect does Emma develop and what secret about the Savior will be revealed as episode 1 rolls into action? That remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, the show's executive producer Adam Horowitz has been busy sharing snippets of "Once Upon a Time" season 6's scripts on Twitter. One of the scripts he shared features Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas) seemingly on their way somewhere. In the script, it was apparent that Charming sensed danger looming, so he tells Snow to stop, and true enough, they almost got caught by a flying net.
In related news, Entertainment Weekly reports that Tzi Ma is reprising his role as The Dragon in the sixth season of "Once Upon a Time." Fans will recall him from season 2 where he seems to have been taken down by Tamara (Sonequa Martin-Green). He likewise appeared in season 5 in a scene where the Evil Queen (Lara Parrilla) ripped his heart out. There are speculations that he will be under the Evil Queen's control in the upcoming season.
"Once Upon a Time" season 6 premieres this Sunday, Sept. 25, on ABC.
