"Sliders" alum Jerry O'Connell will appear in the second season of FOX Network's horror-comedy television series "Scream Queens." Recently, his role on the forthcoming season has been revealed.

O'Connell might be playing a new villain in the show. When TV Line posted a photo of the actor dressed as his character in the show, fans seemed to have accepted this as a possibility. In the picture, O'Connell is holding a syringe, looking mischievous and even a bit homicidal. According to the news outlet, O'Connell's character is somehow linked to the hospital.

As previously reported, the television series will take place in a hospital run by Dean Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis). The hospital will be a setting for multiple murders and the fans' favorite characters could be the potential killers.

In a recent interview with The Hollywoord Reporter, series co-creator Ryan Murphy mentioned that he loved exploring the idea of a horror show set in a hospital because it provided fans with the opportunity to solve exciting medical-mystery cases.

Aside from Curtis' Munsch, the actors that will be reprising their roles in the upcoming season include Emma Roberts as Chanel, Lea Michele as Hester, Billie Lourd as Sadie Swenson aka Chanel 3, Abigail Breslin as Libby Putney aka Chanel 5, Keke Palmer as Zayday, Glen Powell as Chad Radwell, and Niecy Nash as Denise Hemphill.

"Teen Wolf" alum Colton Haynes and "Saturday Night Live" cast members Cecily Strong and Cheri Oteri are also set to appear as guest stars next season. Murphy said the new additions to the cast will hopefully broaden viewership of the show which is already quite popular among young audiences.

When asked about the new cast members, Roberts told E! News, "When they got there it just made sense." She added, "It's like six degrees of separation on 'Scream Queens.' We all know each other in some weird way which is so fun."

"Scream Queens" will return to FOX on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 9 p.m. EDT.
