'Pretty Little Liars' season 7B air date, spoilers, news & updates: Major character dies? What we know so far about upcoming installment

"Pretty Little Liars" season 7 will complete its final run in April 2017. However, before the final curtain drops on the series that has turned fans' world upside down, its creator has promised that things might get even more twisted, more shocking, and more gut-wrenching towards the end.

Perhaps one of the shock factors for season 7B has something to do with Vanessa Ray's recent interview, in which she dished on the character she played (or plays?) in the series, Charlotte a.k.a. Charles DiLaurentis. Fans of the series know that Charlotte has long been written off the storyline. However, in a TV series such as "Pretty Little Liars," even the dead can come back to life in more ways than one.

Take the case of Mona Vanderwaal (Janel Parrish). She was murdered in one of the episodes, and some of the Liars even saw her dead body. Nevertheless, come the following season, she was discovered to be alive after all.

Series creator I. Marlene King is yet to drop a teaser on one of her social media pages regarding Charlotte, but in an interview with Us Weekly, the actress gave cryptic hints about the character, saying she could make a dramatic and triumphant return in the final half of the season.

"I have been keeping up with the show," she said, "and you might see my face soon. I love getting to be around that crew and the lovely cast."

The last 10 episodes of the series are bound to answer crucial questions about the past seasons. For instance, the upcoming half is bound to finally reveal the identity of "A.D.," as well as who among the other characters work for the nefarious villain. Moreover, with Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario) revealed as Mary Drake's (Andrea Parker) biological daughter, it's worth anticipating how things will pan out between the two.

King has previously bared that much of what happened to Spencer in the summer finale will lay the groundwork for season 7B. She even hinted that Spencer's backstory will be dealt with in coming installment. She implied that "Pretty Little Liars" season 7B will make the entire series come full circle.

In addition, King's Twitter feed is full of epic teases regarding the most anticipated final half of the last season. According to Pop Sugar, the creator has alluded to the state police, hinted at some wedding vows, shared sad words from Toby (Keegan Allen), and implied the possibility of murder (perhaps of a major character).

There is no specific air date yet for "Pretty Little Liars" season 7B, but it is expected to drop in April 2017 on Freeform. In the meantime, keep coming back for more news and updates about the series.
