'Sister Wives' season 8 news: Cancellation news a hoax? Kody going through midlife crisis?
Will the reality TV show "Sister Wives" be returning for its eighth installment or has TLC decided to cancel the show to put a stop to Kody Brown's antics?
Not long after "Sister Wives" season 7 ended its run, the rumor mill spewed talks that the series would be canceled because of the Brown family patriarch's issues, particularly hid plan to ditch his four wives so he could marry wives number five and six.
It was a family friend, Kendra Pollard, who revealed Kody's plans to marry his fifth and sixth wives. According to US Blasting News, the idea of Kody getting two more wives could prove to be too much for viewers or the network itself to handle, which would explain why rumors of a cancellation floated.
Apparently, Kody wanted to get two much younger wives–a step-niece of Robyn and a close family friend–because he feels a little neglected from lack of attention from his four wives. If the reports are true, then it could become a complicated ride for this polygamous family.
Nevertheless, Parent Herald observed that perhaps, Kody is just going through a midlife crisis. It is even being speculated that talks about getting additional wives are just a way for Kody and the rest of the family to ensure that "Sister Wives" season 8 would be given the go-signal. It is purported that they want to drum up interest on the show amidst rumors that TLC is considering axing it.
In the recent Summer Party that TLC put together on July 16, Meri debunked the cancellation rumors, even assuring fans that there is no reason for them to fear the end of the reality TV series. Pictures of Kody and his four wives enjoying at the party became viral, and fans are hoping that is a good indication that the show would still see the eighth season.
